  • The Amtek Service Department provides:

    ​

    • Servicing of wheelchair hoists, electric steps, and stretchers

    • Repairs to wheelchair hoists, electric steps, seatbelts, oxygen lines, and electric doors

    • Installation of manual and electric steps, handrails, and barriers

    • Minor vehicle modifications, including seat installation or removal and seatbelt installations

    • Supply of restraints, lap belts, and safety stickers

    • Supply of spare parts

    • Electrical diagnostics and repairs

  • We recommend servicing your wheelchair hoist twice a year.

  • We recommend to service your stretcher annually.

  • The cost of a service depends on the type of service and where you require the service to take place.

  • Amtek primarily services vehicles that have been modified or built by Amtek. We may also be able to service some non-Amtek vehicles; however, we do not service all wheelchair hoist types, so we recommend contacting our team to confirm suitability. Please note that we do not service wheelchair hoists fitted to imported vehicles.

  • The call-out fee is $202.50 + GST for service calls within the Sydney metropolitan area. For locations outside the Sydney metro area, the call-out fee is calculated based on distance from our Moorebank base (2170) at $1.50 per kilometre + GST.

  • Yes – Amtek provides servicing, maintenance coordination and support across Australia. Whilst we are physically based in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, we have an extensive network of service providers that can assist our customers with their service requirements across the country.

  • Amtek workmanship is covered by a 12-month or 50,000 km warranty (whichever comes first). This warranty applies to Amtek-modified or built vehicles and is serviced back to base.

  • To make a warranty claim, simply complete our Warranty Request Form. One of our friendly staff will review your request and respond via email. All warranty work is handled on a back-to-base basis.

  • Yes, Amtek supplies spare parts for wheelchair hoists as well as other equipment we install. To order a part, simply contact our team with details of your vehicle and the part you need, and we will assist you promptly.

  • To request a quote please fill in our enquiry form here and one of our friendly team will come back to you.

  • To get started, we will need some basic details about your vehicle and what you are looking to achieve. This typically includes the vehicle type, intended use, and any specific requirements or challenges. If you already have ideas, drawings, or specifications, those are helpful but not essential.

    Our team will guide you through the rest of the process and help identify any additional information needed as the project progresses.

  • Yes we do, our team would be happy to jump on a call with you discuss your specific requirements for your vehicle. To do so, please fill in our enquiry form here and one of our friendly team will come back to you to schedule a time.

  • The cost of the vehicle modification will depend on the type of vehicle, build specification and accessories. Please provide as much detail as possible to our team in your enquiry so we can provide the correct pricing.

  • We offer a variety of roles across both our workshop and office. Workshop positions include:

    • Vehicle Assembly

    • Accessory Fitters

    • Auto Electricians

    • Vehicle Body Makers

    • Fabricators.

    Office roles include:

    • Administration

    • Sales, Engineering

    • Project Management

    • and other similar positions.

  • Once we receive your application:

    • HR will contact you by phone to discuss your experience and suitability

    • If successful, you’ll be invited to a face-to-face interview

    • During the interview, you can ask questions about Amtek and see our projects firsthand

    • You’ll need to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and licences

    • Some roles may require a Police Clearance

  • Yes! We have successfully trained apprentices in Auto Electrical, Fabrication, and Vehicle Body Making. Some roles may also offer traineeships. Our aim is to support apprentices in building a long-term career with Amtek after their training.

  • Yes. Our Service Department offers maintenance, repairs, and installation support for vehicles, equipment, and accessibility systems. We also have a nationwide network to provide support across multiple states.

  • We work with government agencies, schools, emergency services, defence, healthcare providers, fleet management companies, dealerships, and private businesses needing specialist vehicles.

  • Our process is simple and client-focused: we discuss your needs, develop a concept, confirm design and compliance, build your vehicle, and provide ongoing support and servicing once the vehicle is delivered.

  • Amtek has three site locations – Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, with the capability to service and support clients across multiple states through our extensive network.

  • Yes. All builds and modifications come with the necessary certification and compliance documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
